Serenity

Serenity was designed by the legendary Ted Hood, built in the reputable Lien Hwa boatyard in Taiwan and launched in 2000, and has since traversed the world’s oceans.  She is an extremely capable vessel with a fully enclosed pilot house with full controls.  She has twin diesel engines that provide the ultimate in safety.  Having crossed the Atlantic twice with shorthanded crew, 50 knot winds proved no worry for her.  All of the sails are hydraulically controlled, meaning push button furling; mainsail furls into the mast and jib furls onto the forestay.  A very comfortable and spacious interior for hosting guests or doing long term charters.  The current owner did charters in the Caribbean and Med with her.

She is due for a refit, which will include rig upgrades, sail updates, engine overhauls and some cosmetic work.  The price reflects this.  We can provide management and oversight of a total refit that will enable her years of enjoyment or chartering opportunities.  Puerto Rico has capable contractors and boatyards capable of performing the work.

Currently the vessel is berthed in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  An easy flight in and out of major hubs in the United States with many hotel options.

Fractional Ownership Opportunity

There is an opportunity to create a fractional ownership in this vessel.  The seller is willing to participate in establishing an LLC that will be split amongst the new owners.  The partners would participate in cost sharing and split time according to the percentage of ownership.  This could be set-up as a chartering business, with time not used by owners used for income from charters.  If this interests you and would like more information, please contact us.
